Golf isn't the same as other ball sports. It is not a game with an established playing area. It is hard to adjust to the various conditions on each course. Courses usually have 18 or 9 holes, regions of land that contain a cup. It is in which the hole receives the ball. Each hole is equipped with a teeing ground to start from and a putting area with the cup. There are a variety of common terrain types that lie between the teeing ground and the green. These include the fairway (higher grass) and the rough (lower grass) and hazards like water, rocks, and bunkers filled with sand. Each hole of a course is unique in its own layout.Golf is played to the smallest number of strokes by an individual which is known as stroke play or the score that is the lowest on the most holes played in a full round played by an individual or team, also known as match play. Stroke play is the most popular method, especially at the top levels.
