Awkwafina

Awkwafina began as a American performer and rapper, performing sly tunes that dealt with issues such as racial and sexuality with a humorous twist. Prior to her move to Hollywood her career, she was able to make a few songs. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Korean immigrants living from Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came via the trumpet. Alongside classical music and jazz, the young Nora started to study hip-hop during her teens. Following a focus on education, she graduated with a degree in journalism in college and a women's studies specialization. The focus on music until after she completed her degree. The My Vag song, My Vag which was her response to Mickey Avalons My Dick, became a huge hit on the Internet and eventually appeared on her debut LP Yellow Ranger. The album also contained was other hits that went viral, including Queef (body-positive) as well as NYC Bitche$1. The latter track connected directly to another project, Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. A musician and author was on her resume she determined to pursue a third endeavor actor. As well as early shows like Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in the movies Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in the year 2018, with several movies that were highly regarded, such as Dude Ocean's Eight as well as Crazy Rich Asians. She released the EP,"In Fina We Trust in June of the year.
