She's a hugely popular artist who has sold over 41 million albums around the world and over 150 million songs. Born in Barbados and had a childhood filled with reggae. When she began singing, she was a professional singer. Because of the turmoil in her household and the arguments that her parents were having, she turned to music. Soon she decided she would like to become an artist. They formed a group when she was still in high school and had the opportunity to take part in an audition for music producer Evan Rodgers who was highly impressed with the talent of the young girl. In order to make money as a professional singer, Rodgers asked her to move in New York. Rihanna made her debut album, and was an overnight star. The young crowd was captivated by her songs with a catchy sound that had them tapping their feet, and this made her a star in the film industry. She is a young, accomplished woman, who is now a style icon and a teenager icon. Rihanna uses her fame to positive use as she is actively taking part in various charities.
